This week we have had a few enquires about underlays for sisal and coir carpets.
The only ones that the manufactures recommend are the commercial double stick down ones (underlay stuck to the subfloor and the flooring stuck to the underlay)
The one we recommend is Tredaire Tera Firma 9mm- at the moment we have this product in stock and will be putting it up on the web site next week ((16.10.10).
We will also be selling the glues that are required for this system to work.
The first glue needs to be a tackifier - this is applied to the sub floor and let to dry - this glue stays sticky and allows the uplift of the underlay when you change it.
The second glue is applied onto the underlay and this is permanent glue.
Again these products we do have in stock and will be putting up on the web shortly.
